Children's Art Festival

Overview

Children's Art Festival is a two-part project I designed, moving from static poster to animated motion piece. I drew from the real site at Esther Short Park in Vancouver, translating its organic shapes and colors into an abstract system of flowing bands and bold typography.

I designed the poster with animation in mind from the start, giving each element a distinct visual role so they could be staged over time. In the animation, I carried that multi-layer structure into motion, giving the piece the lively energy of a children's art event.
